This last week was a full week of village outreaches.  Well, to be honest it could have been a bit more full but we're all pretty worn out. 

On Monday evening the American team along with our visitors got together for a meal.  While there I got some last minute instructions for Tuesday morning and headed home to prepare for the next day.

Thankfully, along with language I have also been able to get my feet wet, so to speak, in ministry.  One of the ministries that I have enjoyed is helping with the new church plant in Tiola. We are working there with a middle aged Malian couple.  The wife has been a christian for many years now. Her husband, Eli, is a new Christian. culture (at least I think I have) and am learning the language ever so slowly.  9 more months seems like a long time but it will be neat to see the progress during that time.  I look forward to that. type='text'>Progress and a wake up call</title><summary type='text'>Life can certainly change a lot in a month.  We have gone from 80 degree temperatures to 50s and 60s.  That wouldn’t be a major issue except that there won’t be any heat until October 15th and it has been raining a lot.  It is rather comical to see people sitting in class with ski hats and scarves around their necks.  I am degrees.  Not all that bad really but there is a law in France that the heat in apartment buildings or multiple family dwellings can not be turned on until October 15 - nearly a month away.  I love went to Mercury of all places and more than that we went to the very road where we found that tiny chapel.  We did take a different route for part of the walk.  It was funny though because as we type='text'>New Bank Account</title><summary type='text'>Well, I have finally been able to sign up for my bank account here in France.  The money is deposited and hopefully I will be able to begin using it by next week.  That is a great relief.  The bank account does not come with a debit card like in the states.  You have to pay for that separately.  (No fun - but worth the trouble I think) has been about 70-80 degrees.  Classes begin on Tuesday September 2.  I am not sure why they don't start on Monday since that isn't a holiday here but I will be thankful for the extra day though I
